Yesenia Gutierrez

As the Forum’s Integration Programs Associate, Yesenia is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the Forum’s English at Work initiative.

Prior to joining the Forum in March 2022, Yesenia was an immigration paralegal for the Legal Analysis and Humanitarian department at The Matian Firm, APC. in San Jose, California, where she prepared and filed FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) applications to immigration agencies to assist attorneys with their legal analysis. She also collaborated with California police departments and superior courts to support clients with potential U-Visa and VAWA cases, and worked with U-Visa applicants to assist them and their families with their employment authorization requests, RFEs, and to support anyone who might be in danger of having their U-Visa denied.

Originally from Sunnyvale, California, Yesenia studied Political Science at the College of the Holy Cross.
