“Senator McCain was a champion of immigrants, refugees and migrants around the world. His voice will always be a clarion call of courage and compassion. Our thoughts and prayers are with Senator McCain’s family.
“Senator McCain believed that our immigration process could reflect an America that is both a nation of laws and a nation of grace. Rather than fear a changing America, he realized the potential in it. This legacy will continue to guide us.”
