WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Forum is pleased to announce refreshed program names that reflect our dedication to advancing the nation through advocacy for policies that recognize the vital contributions of both U.S.-born and immigrant workers in strengthening American businesses.
Operating under the Workforce Advance umbrella, Citizenship Advance assists businesses’ eligible employees with the citizenship process so they can become full participants in the workplace and their communities. English Advance remains focused on partnering with businesses of all sizes to deliver customizable, industry-specific English training that improves workplace communication, boosts productivity, and supports employee growth.
“The Forum is refreshing its workforce development programs with names that better reflect our mission,” said Jennie Murray, President and CEO of the National Immigration Forum. “These programs will continue to strengthen our nation’s economic foundation while honoring the role foreign-born workers play in its growth.”
“We hope to soon see action toward a more effective immigration system that respond to the needs of American businesses. As the U.S. working population continues to decline, employers from family farms to major corporations should have access to vetted workers, native and foreign-born alike, so that together they can keep our communities and economy growing.”
