The U.S. currently provides Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to over 400,000 foreign nationals from 10 countries. The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security has let TPS expire for Honduras, Nepal, El Salvador, Haiti, Sudan and Nicaragua. While litigation has allowed these individuals to remain in the country, some of these individuals could face deportation as soon as March of 2021.
