WASHINGTON, D.C. — Francela Chi de Chinchilla has joined the National Immigration Forum as its new Vice President and Chief of Advancement.
Over her 15-year career, Francela has advised donors and led issue campaigns on pressing national issues including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, unaccompanied minors, and combating disinformation. Her previous experience includes serving on the Donor Relations team at the California Community Foundation as well as Vice President of Advocacy and Partnerships for the campaign to build a Smithsonian American Latino Museum on the National Mall.
“We are thrilled to welcome Francela to the Forum,” said President and CEO Jennie Murray. “Her depth and breadth of experience will be crucial as we work to meet the challenges of a difficult 2024 election season and beyond. We will continue to focus on immigration solutions that balance security and compassion while meeting Americans’ needs.”
An immigrant from San Jose, Costa Rica, Francela lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children. “I firmly believe that migration is part of the human condition. I can’t think of a better organization to dedicate myself to and am thrilled to grow the Forum’s commitment to elevating the dignity of immigrants and refugees and compassion of all Americans,” Francela said.
