Kathleen Gillen

Assistant Vice President of Field and Constituencies

As the Assistant Vice President of Field and Constituencies, Kathleen is responsible for supporting the facilitation of the Forum’s Bibles, Badges, and Business for Immigration Reform network. She also coordinates activities for the Law Enforcement Immigration Task Force, the Veterans for New Americans project, and the Forum’s upcoming national security work.

Before joining the Forum in November of 2020, Kathleen served as the Children’s Services Specialist for Refugee School Impact at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Migration and Refugee Services division. Prior to this role, she organized a portfolio of 13 local refugee resettlement sites as a Field Support Coordinator with USCCB/MRS. Kathleen also brings years of experience in education, beginning as a high school history teacher and culminating as the program coordinator for America’s Unofficial Ambassadors – a citizen diplomacy initiative with a focus in countering violent extremism (CVE).

Originally from Niskayuna, NY, Kathleen holds a B.A. in International Relations from Lehigh University and an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University.
