The culmination of a year-long series of living room conversations held across the country, Leading the Way: An American Approach to Immigration seizes that momentum, bringing together moderate and conservative faith, law enforcement and business leaders in Washington, DC to engage in substantive conversation about the future of immigration.
This annual invitation-only gathering is split into three distinct, yet complementary events: a morning convening featuring nationally recognized speakers and experts; an afternoon of meetings with congressional offices; and an evening reception where we will honor those who contribute significantly to the well-being of U.S. immigrants.
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: FHI 360 Conference Center
How do we create an immigration system that both protects our families and benefits our economy? How can we ensure that America and American workers continue to benefit from immigration, and that immigrants themselves become fully integrated into our society? To answer these questions and more, we have invited a diverse group of leaders to participate in a series of thought-provoking keynotes and plenaries. Confirmed speakers include:
- Dr. Doug Holtz-Eakin, President, American Action Forum
- Sheriff Margaret Mims, Fresno County, California
- Dr. Russell Moore, President, The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission
- Dr. Laura Murillo, President & CEO, Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- Mayor Betsy Price, City of Fort Worth, Texas
- Marya Rose, Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer, Cummins Inc
- Jeff Wasden, President, Colorado Business Roundtable
- Pete Wiersma, President, Idaho Dairymen’s Association
