Embassy Suites: Isabelle’s Participant Testimonial

Embassy Suites by Hilton joined New American Workforce in May 2014, adding to the now 55 businesses in the San Diego area participating in the program.

They are committed to their employee success and are dedicated to helping their eligible immigrant employees apply for citizenship. This effort has been demonstrated by their outreach and education to their over 200 employees about the benefits of citizenship. They have also offered group workshops that walk employees through the citizenship application process.

Isabelle Gutierrez participated in a workshop at Embassy Suites, where she has worked as a housekeeper for 27 years. Isabelle noted that the assistance provided by Embassy Suites changed her life for the better. Isabelle told us:

“I wanted to have a voice after being here for a very long time. I feel like I’m practically from here, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for citizenship.

Embassy Suites was kind enough to provide a spot to have the workshops at work so that it wouldn’t be an inconvenience for us [their employees] to participate. I’m extremely grateful for the support and am pleased with the staff, workshops, classes and all of the help they gave us!”
